Who are We?

This organization provides health insurance for widows, older people, and children with cancer. The organization also pays medical prescription for these unfortunate fellows and is creating business opportunities for the widows to be economically independent. Because of survival hood, long life, and human peace depend mostly on the socio-economic condition of a person. Are we keeping our wealth and let these unfortunate people like widows suffer to die? Our widows and their children and those with cancer diseases, poverty, and hunger need your assistance in order to survive, so, please, help them.

How does the Organization Raise Money?

The president uses his meager wages to support the foundation, and sometimes donors like you also help the organization to run its day-to-day activities. The organization again is planning to engage in farming activities and sell the products to raise money for its members.

How does the Organization Measure its Success?

The organization can measure its performance by seeing how many people it serves each year. This organization has provided much assistance to its members. Within the last five years, the organization has hired two lawyers who handle matters in court on behalf of these poor widows. Between 2013 and 2016, about 102 affected widows were assisted by the organization's lawyers who provided them with legal aid services in court, of which 80 cases have already won, and the rest are still pending in court. The organization has provided health insurance for about 150 widows and their children during the 2015 and 2016 enrolling period. It has also provided school supplies to about 150 children of these widows.

The construction of the organization's central office is completed, and inauguration and fundraising activities came on June 22, 2019. So far, the organization cares for about 450 aged persons by providing them with health insurance and payments of prescription bills. End of every year, it provides members with cloths and some assorted food items. Now, the organization has added children with cancer to its agenda, and the mission has become very broad, which therefore needs enough resources to carry out its duties. Now, a new office is completed and equipped with computers and other office equipment that will help take proper data of its members.

The organization has planned to raise $140,000.00 for the 2020 fiscal years, which starts from July 1 to June 30, 2021. In, the organization's plan to do fundraising in June 2020 could not come on because of the COVID-19 pandemic. The board of directors is finding possible ways to contact multiple donors. The board has decided to request at least $2,000.00 from each small donor, and they have planned the organization's current total budget for this fiscal year as $140,000.00.

How Do We Measure our Performance?

The organization measures its performance by seeing how many people it serves each year. This organization has provided much assistance to its members. Within the last seven years, the organization has hired two lawyers who litigate matters on behalf of these poor widows and their husbands' families. Between 2013 and 2020, about 72 affected widows were assisted by the organization's lawyers who provided them with legal aid services in court, of which 40 cases have already won, and the rest are still pending in court. The organization has provided health insurance for numerous widows and their children during the 2019 and 2020 enrollment periods. It has also provided school supplies for several children of these widows.

The organization is accountable to the Department of Social Welfare in Ghana, so every February it submits its previous year's financial report for them to review, approve, and reissue a new certificate. Failure to do that would result in the provoking of the organization's certification or a fine. As of now, the organization has firmly focused on its mission, and everything is going on well.
